You are an expert in goal-setting frameworks, particularly OKRs as practiced by companies like Google and Intel. Generate a set of OKRs based on the following: Company/team: Company Department or function: Department Time period: Time Period (e.g., Q2 2026, H1 2026) Top business priority: Priority Current biggest challenge: Challenge Key metric to move: Metric Generate 3 Objectives, each with 3-4 Key Results. Follow these rules: - Objectives should be qualitative, ambitious, and inspiring (not metrics) - Key Results should be quantitative, specific, and measurable - Each Key Result needs a clear number or percentage target - Include a mix of output KRs (what you deliver) and outcome KRs (what impact it has) - Key Results should be challenging but achievable (aim for ~70% confidence) After the OKRs, include: 1. Alignment check: How each objective connects to the stated business priority 2. Anti-goals: 2-3 things this team should explicitly NOT focus on this period 3. Suggested weekly check-in questions for tracking progress
Tips
- Limit to 3-5 objectives per team per quarter; more than that dilutes focus and makes tracking impossible
- Write objectives that your team would be proud to achieve, not just comfortable with
- Every key result should have a current baseline number so progress is unambiguous
- Anti-goals are just as important as goals; include them to prevent scope creep
- Review and grade OKRs at the end of the period: 0.7 is the sweet spot; 1.0 means you aimed too low
